David Skinner, born in Auckland, New Zealand, is a freelance camera operator and director.
Having traveled all over New Zealand, Europe and Scandinavia, he has experienced a wide range of lifestyles and people which helps him to connect and relate to people he is working with either in a production crew or in front of the lens.
He has always been interested in Film, Television and photography and as a perfectionist he strives to produce the best results out of the equipment he uses, location he is at and situation he is in. Keeping an active lifestyle is important to him as it helps him stay fit and last the long grueling hours on set.
David has had experience working with 16mm film as a focus puller, clapper loader, video split and camera operating. Operating, rigging and de-rigging outside broadcast cameras, steady-cam. Directing and shooting music videos, corporate videos, promotional videos, weddings, short flms, etc.. and most recently camera operating/directing on New Zealands top rating observational documentary show ‘Police Ten-7′
